A-pillar covers interchange with the following: Chevrolet El Camino (1968-72) Chevrolet Chevelle Sedan or Wagon (1968-72) GMC Sprint (1971-72) Buick Skylark Sedan or Wagon (1968-72) Pontiac LeMans Sedan or Wagon (1968-72) Oldsmobile Cutlass Sedan or Wagon (1968-72)
Yes,there are A-pillar gauge pods available in the aftermarket. Usually listed for Chevelle. I don’t remember who makes them, but I have seen them listed in Summit.
I got them from summit made by Autometer after some heating and stretching and trimming I got both of them to fit pretty good, however I forgot to apply my adhesive promotion before painting hopefully it will hold up ok
I want to add gauges to mine. I'm wondering if the A pillar would look out of place on a restoration focused on originality. I know they are def the most readable. Wondering if under the dash wuold look less obtrusive
Guages are an absolute must in my opinion. The big three , whether under dash or elsewhere cannot be left out. I also have a single pod on my a-pillar for my AFR guage. Wack it with my hand almost every time I go to wave out the window. But it is easy to view cruisin . Jim
I have a custom console with gauges and cup holders, however I’m going to replace it with an original with floor shifter. This is why I went to the A-pillar.
