A/C SETUP SAME ON 1968 GS 400 as 1969 GS 400??

    HAVING TROUBLE GETTING THE CORRECT AFTERMARKET OR NOS PARTS FOR MY A/C ON MY 1969 GS 400. ORDERED AFTERMARKET HOSES FROM THE PARTS PLACE, and they are INCORRECT ACCORDING TO THE SCHEMATICS/PHOTO BELOW. CAN ANYONE SHED SOME LIGHT ON THIS, PLEASE?? CONVERTED TO R134. HELP!! FRUSTRATED!! NEED 1382264 (2) BUMPERS ALSO!!

    As far as I know the only difference is the controls- there are thumb wheels in '68 and levers in '69. I gutted a '69 and put the AC in a '68, it all fit just fine. Did they send you hoses that eliminate the muffler? That's the can behind the battery.

    As I remember, 68/9 are about the same. for AC hoses/lines. There are differences in 350 and 400 cars for the heater hose and valve. 68 in back and 69 in front. I went through this 2 years ago. Put a 69 GS 400 with AC back together. I have a 68 GS 350 complete running AC car to look at. Also had a 69 GS 400 parts car. Ended up needing more good hose/lines. Found them local and on this board. The bracket that holds the muffler is different between 68/9. I can look at what I have left for lines and hose, but I think I used the best and sold some. Thanks Bill.

    We were sent the one with the muffler, but the muffler is incorrect. Only having one port, needs two.

    lol, a little tough to pump refrigerant through that!
