On my 1968 skylark w/ AC , the wires coming from the fan speed resistor split up with 3 of them going into a 3-way plug under the dashboard. ( see picture) Light Blue , Yellow , Black w/ a Orange stripe are the colors of the wires in question . Does anybody know where that plug goes into ? These 4 wires go directly on the terminals of the resistor. I have the factory chassis manual and can’t see where this would plug into . Thanks in advance

I don’t remember ever seeing a connection like that but if someone had a pictures of these 2 plugs joined that would shed some light on this .
Obviously, that connector is long gone, but what difference would that make? As long as you had the wiring right, everything should work.
That makes sense Larry; I’m looking at the plugs now ; the types of plugs are not even close. Possibly might have been an adaptor joining them but can’t see how anything could be joined to the 5 way plug. . It is completely tucked up behind the control panel . The bezel and the lower dashboard directly above the ignition switch surround more than half way around the HVAC control panel . Another area that I’m not understanding is do any of the 5 wires for the switch go through the bulkhead connector ? In the back of my FSM , another detailed schematic shows the black/orange going through the connector . I’ll send you a photo of that . Thanks again Larry
I did find Larry for the a/c system and specific fr the 68 skylark. As is many things for the 68’s it has to be made to order. I’m trying to get a photo of completed one to see how close - different it is to what I have. Also it is 2-3 weeks to put together and ship . I’m thinking back to the other 2 68’s I’ve owned in the past 32 years and the 68 GS 400 convertible had switch problems, I believe melted plugs, shorts, the like. Can’t remember the exact wiring layout except the switch removal took small mirror, 3/8 swivel socket and was a general pain in the ass
