I found this on the pro-touring forum and thought it was worth reposting on here HPI makes a pretty sweet kit for $600 http://hpicustoms.com/products.html Here is a build thread with a bunch of pictures of the kit installed. http://www.lateral-g.net/forums/show...&highlight=hpi
I have this same kit installed on my frame. Mike "Racebuicks" Garrison installed it and said the kit was solid and the instructions were detailed. Since my frame was very clean and square, I think he said it only took him about as long to install the kit as it did to cut & patch my front passenger fender. Pix here after painting: http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?243938-Pro-Touring-71-GS&p=2006244&highlight=#post2006244 It will clear the stock body shell as the tubes inside the frame are canted downwards a couple of degrees. Stock brake & fuel hard lines don't fit, but the bending isn't too bad and they can be made to work, Mike tells me. The Trans crossmember is adjustable too, so it will handle both the stock tranny now and the 200R4 I plan on putting in there when I get my motor rebuilt. Now, if only I had the cash to get the rest of the bodywork done right away... - Freed
