i have a regal body with gn 8.5 with girdle/spool/4.10/big bearing axles will this hold up to my 500+ hp 455? it was in my car already but i have a stock 12 bolt i could start with any suggestions. andy
Yes it will hold up.Mine in my GN is still going strong after a few years of 500+ RWHP.A few guys are running close to 1000 RWHP through them.
It should if car is footbraked. You have got rid of the major bad link, ie c-clips, & gone to bolt-in axles. What posi carrier is in the 8.5? :3gears: Roger
Andy, Missed the spool part earlier when rapidly typing The built-up 8.5 should be mighty strong, 550 hp, 600 lbs of torque, no problem. Addition of a steel lh cap or a TA Performance or LPW cover will strengthen the LH cap area for "extreme" 8.5 or 12 bolt use, if you keep stepping up the engine. :3gears: Roger

Addition of a steel lh cap or a TA Performance or LPW cover will strengthen the LH cap area for "extreme" 8.5 or 12 bolt use, if you step up the engine dramatically. :3gears: Roger
