    hey Per Arne
do you want me to hold off shipping the rear def until you see your car (if you still have a car  )?
then if you want the fuel gauge too, i can pack it in the box with every thing else.

i dont know how much wiring i will be able to pull for the def switch ...so far i have exposed about 10 inches of it ..

    Hi :)
I will send you a PM in a couple of days, when I had some update about the Buick.
If the some of the wiring isnt there, no problem, I can fix it when I get the car home.
If you have the unit for the Cruise control that sits on the front inner fender and its the same as mine,
I am interested in that part too.

I also have a question for you guys.
I have a bid on a overhauled AC compressor,

Since I am not have my car here and can check if its similar. maybe some of you know.
The clutch on mine get on fire up in Pennsylvania some place and at a shop they told me that compressor was gone too. :(

I recently sold my 74 LeSabre after I repainted red it because I got back to school and needed a more fuel efficient car, so I don't have a 74 anymore. I still have the 65, 67 and 75 and I don't have the intention to sell one of them!

I got back my 91 (which I sold to my father last year) instead as it needed a few repairs and he didn't use it anymore. Now it runs fine but I do miss the 74...

    Good news.

I actually got some great news today; my 76 Buick that is stored in Pompano Beach Florida has survived the hurricane Wilma.
They had winds over 2oo km/hour and the owner of the shipping firm got her car destroyed.
So I am happy :) , especially since I hadnt any insurance on the car.

    Good news!

Did you find a headlamp bezel for your car? I could take pics of mine if you wish...
I also have a cruise transducer but I'm wondering if that's the part you need... What's wrong with your car's cruise control?

If your cruise doesn't work, pull the air cleaner off. Look for the little chain that holds the throttle in place when the cruise is activated. On my electra, the little orange plastic clip that connects to the throttle has snapped. The cruise controls does work because I tried to rig the thing up with a keychain ring, but that failed. I still haven't fixed it yet, but if the cruise light comes on after I think 35mph that could be an issue. It's really easy to see, if it's broken you'll see the chain hanging limp ontop of the intake manifold.

    To phil
I havent found any bezel yet.
You can take a picture of yours ,when you have time to do it , so I can see how it looks like.
But I am not in any hurry; I dont think I will have money to paint the Buick before next autumn.
And its not any reason to change the bezel before I have fixed the dent anyway.
But if I find one that looks great I will for sure buy it, then I can put it my suitcase and save a lot of shipping.

    To Michael
I really dont know whats wrong with the Cruise control. It does not function at all.
When I press the button nothing happens.
The speedometer wires and vacuum hoses are OK; I checked that part last when I was over there this summer.

    Per Arne :)
