Well they is that one on ebay but an auto, and I wouldn't buy that one anyways for a few reasons. I want one to but, I don't have the money now and I am restoring a 73GS455. I defiently keep an eye out for you! What's your name? Anthony
Buying a 4 speed 73 is not going to be the easiest thing to do.In my registry, there are exactly 7 but I have a line on 2 people who claim to have them too. They are not all that common and only a handful own one.I am jus glad to have a 73 350 4 speed...Rare too if I should say.If you end up getting one, please feel free to contact me as I could use all the help I can get....Good Luck. Pat
Pat, I know that one 73 stage 1 4 speed car is gone. I pulled the steering wheel, and grill emblem out of it in 1983 at a junkyard in howell MI. the stage emblems where toast. I still have the grill one around here some where. Tim
Tim, most likely the car got crushed. :ball: :ball: :ball: :ball: But, if you go there soon, there may be one there. :Brow: :Brow: Anthony
GS hunt These cars are hard to come by thats for sure,I have been looking for a car in Canada for over a year know and so far no luck on 73 or 74 in any combination.Good luck on the search. Curtis
This seems odd but there was one for sale here -- a black 73 stage 1, 4 speed for over a year. He thought it would never be sold. Finally sold it about 6 months to a year ago. Could hardly get 12K.
If it's the one from Morrison Motor, I almost bought it...in someways i'm glad i didn't... it was in poor condition ... I would have bought it if the price was around 6 or 7 grand. It wasn't worth the 12 grand he was asking. It needed a lot of body work, and the interior was wrong also. The pics he had on his web page made the car look nice...don't they always...lol Mark
Yes I saw the car many times inluding before he bought it at Charlotte from a one time Board member here I think. He kept it for a year or two. I posted about it several times on the Board and it really never drew any reponse.
I email Morrison Motors in February and they said the car was sold...they didn't give me any more info.. Mark
1973 Stage 1 4-speed car... You know, it's funny that so many people thought I was so crazy for wanting a '73 when I bought mine and then hitting the "Buy It Now" for $16,900.00, and that was just a year and a half ago. I ended up paying about $15,000.00 for it, after beating up the selling dealer a bit at time of pick up...but actual cost to me was much less than that due to some trading around that I did at the time. It kind of reminds me of the 1971 Charger R/T that I restored and sold five years ago for $16,000.00 that's NOW WORTH $45,000.00!!! I will NEVER make that mistake again! It would take an offer of twice what I paid for my Stage 1 to even get my attention. Anyone who says these cars aren't going to appreciate is smoking some strong stuff. Mine is all numbers-matching and all original except for one repaint in the factory color, low miles too, yeah, it wasn't worth it, was it?
Mike, I personally think you got a great deal there. In all honesty, not my particular color I would pick when ordering one new....But its a 4 speed Stage 1 and I have gotten used to it real fast. I don't think you will be sorry for getting it.I have had some serious offers for my 73 350 4 speed and again,Not my 1st choice of colors, but show me more of them and maybe I'd consider selling....but until then, its put safely away awiaiting its time to be restified. Pat
i agree these cars are going to become more valuable at a faster rate imho. i put 200 miles on mine today over some nice mountain roads and some freeway, gettin ready for the trip to the john force race shop easter car show next saturday. this is themost ive driven the 73 and i liked it!! i think even at the 16900 buy it now you were gettin a good deal, mike. :bglasses:
picture ive never successfully been able to post a photo here-ill try it again, but the limint on pixels forces it to be really small and im not savvy enough to figure a different way to do it.
