Wow, an original 4 speed Stage 1. I like it

Whats interesting is the fact that the VIN indicates its a real Stage 1, yet its wearing 455 badges on the front fenders.

Looks like the 4 speed hump is still under the rug

Sherman & Peabody must have set the "way-back" machine for 1973! Check out that funky cb whip antenna and those crusty side pipes! Pretty cool survivor all around, I'd love to have a '73 Stg.1 car someday!

I have a Fremont built car the same way. No stage 1 badges but it is a stage car. :TU:

I also have a 73 Stage1 4 speed (with V in the VIN) and it has the 455 emblems instead of the Stage1 on the fenders.

My 73stg1 has the Stg1 emblem and HAD the 455 badges mounted below it from the factory. Oddly, it also had a hood ornament too which from what i know it odd/rare on the Stg1's

My neighbor wanted it till it went to 85 with not meeting reserve. These are hard to restore with the parts being almost non existant. I imagine thats why Musclecar made those ugly taillights for the TV car. They could not find good used or nOS

I think I would bid but the owner won't let us nucks bid on it, wifes happy, I am sad, 7600 didn't buy it last time, but with the cost of restoring a 73 8-9k would be tops for me. Very cool ride to start with and yes 3 spoke wheel would look good. B

    I was high bid.

Some might say it was a bit spendy, but you have to look at it from a New England perspective. I'd drop 4k (easy, even before paint) on rust repair on anything I'd find local, if there was one to be had. I havent seen a decent Colonnade car in years. MANY years. From there, a fully loaded 4 spd A/C Stage is strictly icing on the cake. The car is a "day 2" time capsule, it reminds me of all the stuff running around when I was a kid, and I miss that.

I like this car, just as it sits. I'll probably even keep the side pipes.
