Thats my favorite front end of all buicks! The 73's are wicked. My 76 has the stacked rectangle lights, not as nice in my opinion. I wonder if I could switch to that style grill and hood or if I would need to change the whole front clip. I'll need to do some measuring....

73-75 Century / Regals are different than the 76-77 Regals. The earlier models had hugh curves in the fenders and doors, the newer ones where flat panels. About the only cure you have is buy a 73 and sell me your 76 !!

There were actually two different bodystyles of 76-77 Regal/Century. Mine is similar to the 73 but with different bumpers and lights. The first two pics are the curvy body and the last one is the flat one. Both 76.

I didn't realize you had a 4-door...I was referring to the coupes, totally different sheetmetal from 73-75 and 76-77. It's very possible for the 4-doors to interchange. The third pic is a Century, not a Regal, for 76-77..they had that "non-formal" front end as opposed to the Regals "formal" clip.

I really want to get to the bottom of what changes were made to the front quarters from 73-77. There are some differences of sheetmetal around the bumpers from 73, 74 and 75. 73 and 74 are similar and 75 went to the less rounded front (still round lights) then in 76-77 they went to the dual rectangle lights But I'm still not convinced the 73 grill wouln'nt bolt on a 76. I may be wrong, but I can't find a car neer me to measure. .

The 76 and 77 Century coupe (Special, standard model or Custom) and Regal or Regal S/R coupe had the flat bodysides and a completely different look from the 4 door body. While the 73-75 coupe bodies were similar to the 4 doors.
The 1973-76 Century Custom, Luxus and Regal coupes had a formal roofline with smaller "opera" side windows. The 75-77 Special, the 73-77 base Century (or Century 350) coupe and the 73-75 Century Gran Sport had a larger triangular side window.

thanks Anthony! well that's actually the 73 for sale in that pic. it is a 350 and i have done some stuff to it, like all new ignition (pertronix II, flamethrower coil, etc, etc).. the carb is freshly rebuilt, the exhaust is a custom one-off job after wrestling with systems i thought would fit! :af: here are a few [older] pics. i was going to post some of the exhaust but i will have to get the photos from home

these pictures look like you have the back end of the car up, or the front lowered. i tried lifting the back of my 74 to see how it worked/looked, and found that it made it handle kinda squirrelly. what is your take on that, and is it still up in the back?

well, i have Skyjacker air shocks on it, so it is adjustable. they aren't the best ride but they were on the car when i got it and i wanted to do a late 70s style ride so i kept that set-up. i got new ones a while back and it doesn't seem to really affect handling that much, but the car doesn't handle great in the first place  also, when i first got the car i didn't like how high the front sat so i chopped a coil off each spring. right now i have the rear lowered about even with the fronts, and it's a good height. but i love being able to jack up the rears and cruise around with a mean rake :Brow:

:Brow: Yo, Eric! I have one of those too.('73 Century,Luxus) I have the original window sticker for it, and the chrome rallye's are original. I just got the car from my good friend Darren, in Sarasota,Fl. It has 112,000 original miles, and is beautiful on the inside, and not too bad on the outside either. Just need to freshen up the paint. She has: 350, 4V,A/C, and power steering, brakes, and bench seat. sweeeeet! The hood is a custom job, and the rear spoiler is a early '80's Monte SS unit.- Later.---Zach
