First I love what you did to that Roadmaster. looks like you've been doing some Road Warrior -action, form the appearnce of the front bumper!

The guy from type_o_negative has an Impala SS with a HUGE tubular-welded, ram-style bumper, diamond-plate aluminum on the floors.

I gotta ask you a question:

I took the electric fans out of a mid '90's Impala SS LT-1 and a Roadmaster Wagon.

Are these adequate for a normal, mild 455? with the trans cooler in the radiator???

I have to say that '76 Century design grows on you. It has aged VERY well, and looks better than it did back then. I remember seeing them, and have a '76 Buick color catalog, because my Dad bought a '76 Electra Limited 4 dr that years. I loved the Hurst hatch T-tops on the Century.

And the Colonnade (sp?) is certainly cool, but yours looks thoroughly modern and cool-looking.

I have this friend, who hates my '76 Riviera. He thinks all mid-'70's cars were from a "malaise"-period, and therefore, not collectible.

I disagree sharply. GM's designs up until 1977, were very curvaceous and stylish and well-proportioned.

    I love that car. My Dad had a '76 and a '74 4dr Electra's.

the RHD certainly looks weird. I never knew buick did that

Here's my '73--nothing like the Roadmaster radical mod's.

    So far:

I've just installed a Billet electronic distributor, 8.5 amp ign module, old-style "real Jacobs" Ultra Coil, ACCEL 300+ wires, and fused 10 gauge wiring from the battery to the (+) on the coil and (+) distributor to a switch inside. Runs Great!!! a TA water pump, POWERMASTER 12-SI 94-amp alternator, POWERMASTER starter/solenoid, new radiator, shroud, fan-clutch (i tried the electric ones--I'd like TT-T56's advice on some Impala SS/Roadmaster Wagon LT1 fans I bought). all new belts and hoses

Plus the usually changing of all fluids ( I'm a fanatic about that: 5W-30 every month, trans fluid/pan gasket every year; coolant-every year; brake fluid--every year)

Previous owner put a 2 1/2" mandrel-bent STAINLESS STEEL exhaust system and flowmasters or magnaflows (sounds sweet--not like "ripping" like the 3" dual one I hadf on a '70 Toro 455 with Magnafloe Race mufflers)

and a whole new A/C system.

This is a GREAT runner. It has no EGR or A.I.R pump (heads were plugged). I went from 8.9 to 15.1 mpg after the ignition. People who say ignition upgrades are worthless on cars with points on resistance wires should look at the theoretical power contained in the fuel/air mixture. The weak spark that crosses a small gap is not enough to entirely ignite the energy contents in each cylinder

245/5018 up front and 2855018 in the back. The wheels are ARE PAinted Torq-lites, 18x7 in front and 18x8 in back. I actually have 2856018's on the back right now but they are too big so I will be switching back in the spring.

Here is my new ride. Sold my 86 GN 2 days ago to buy this one. I couldn't help myself. There is just no replacement for the sound of displacement. It was originally a 85 hot air turbo T-type car that underwent a complete frame off restoration. Not a part was left untouched. Now has a Built 455 30 over with lots of TA parts.
