I need to bypass my Neutral Safety Switch, Wire in Reverse Lock out, and my back up lights.

I have been looking and over and trying to figure it out but I am terrible with these diagrams. Can any wiring guys chime in and let me know if I am right?

Bypass NSS- I can just tie the two Purple wires on the NSS together?

Back Up Lights- I need a power source tied to the ignition switch(I assume I could splice in off the purple wires that are tied together?) to connect to the Back up Light pigtail on the trans, then tie it back in to the Lt Green wire on the NSS?

Reverse Lockout- Tie one end in to the brake light switch and ground the other end?

After more thought, I couldn't tie in to the purple wires for the brake light because it's only hot in the start position not run...

took the '70 70 miles round trip to a car show this weekend. We didnt plan on staying long so we parked away from all the other cars. Still drew a decent crowd. Car ran great and the A/C was ice cold the whole way. We put the front spoiler on it when we got back, but didnt take a picture. Will get an updated picture soon.

Thanks to Rusty Davenport and TriCity plating, the '72 is going to look a lot better from the back side.

Got the bumper installed today and the motor is now running for the first time in a year.

Got several parts coming in next week and hopefully I can have it ready for a test drive next weekend.

Got the 3" stainless exhaust with the x pipe installed minus the tailpipe. Going to take it down to the muffler shop to get it through my "3 N25 hangers from Caruso Performance and out of my 3" n25 tips from Wheelz. :3gears:

Also, I have a pair of 295/50r15s on the way to go on 15x10 rallyes I got from a fellow board member.

Bad News...So after having the drivetrain completely in after my last update, after cranking it there was a light tap in the oil pan and I had to pull it all back out.

Good news...As as of today it's all back together with a new TA oil pan and for the first time since the swap... IT IS MOVING UNDER ITS ON POWER.

During the down down time I got the rally wheels on it with 295/50s on the back and corrected the customization on the firewall so that my temp control will operate correctly. Got my moldings polished, but I am having some issues with the fit on the rears. The original holes were filled on so it's going to take some tweaking.

Next step is to get the rest of my underdash duct work in and get my dash bezel in. I also need wire in my reverse lockout unit and back up lights. I need to rewire my aftermarket gauges as well. Hope to have the fenders on it next weekend.

I planned on having a video of the car running but the GoPro was dead. A picture of the rear tires will have to do.

Got all the parts for the '72, just don't have the time to get it together right now. Hopefully that will change soon. If not, It may have to find a new home. Too nice of a car to just be sitting and gathering dust.

i figured it was time to revive this thread. Baseball will be winding down in a few weeks and then Ill have more time to dedicate to the cars. So here is where I am....

I was concerned that my rear moldings didnt fit right and decided i needed to get to the bottom of it... I got the quarters blasted and as suspected, some crappy body work was the culprit.

So to correct the issue, at some point next week, I am going to get these over to Hugger.

While the body is off getting the quarters done, I'll have plenty to do. Along with a fender repair I need to get done, Ill need to get the motor back together. My set of heads from Chris Skaling came in today.

When the car gets back to me, I'll need to finish up the hydraulic clutch set up and then try to get it running and moving under its own power again.

A little evening project as I get ready to put the motor back together. Nothing makes me more uneasy than hacking into a perfectly good part.

Here it is fit in place. I had to cut out the lip of the wheel well so it would line up properly so I could scribe it.

    Scribed..

    Cut...

Rough Fit but i thought it was decent. Still need to clean it up and get it aligned a little better. Hope to at least tack it in tonight.
