I was wondering the same thing on my 69 skylark bench with arm rest. I need to do a seat cover anyway but I have heard new foam makes a huge difference. Even though I could do the job myself I was thinking of having an upholstery shop do it because they know what to look for as far as worn out springs and such so unless they are broken I’d say new foam should make a difference. Maybe someone with actual experience with this will chime in. Hope that helps a little.
