This '72 GS Hood Nose Chrome is a good rechrome candidate. Overall a clean piece with a small scrapes along the exposed chrome edge (see pics below). -One scrape is 2" long and about 1/8" wide. Not deep but cut through the chrome. - Second scrape is 1/2" long and varies from 1/4" to 1/8" wide. Again, not deep but cut through the chrome. -One scratch on the front of the D side chrome turndown 1/16" wide x 3/8" long -Some bubbles along the top of the exposed chrome area A good plater will have no problem correcting these. >NO BROKEN or BENT MOUNTING STUDS >Very minor bubbles in spots along the edge of the area THAT IS PAINTED...common in this spot on this year die cast nose chrome. >Not cracked, twisted or warped...nice and straight I took a couple of the pics below while there was still some paint on the upper portion of the piece. I stripped that paint off, as you'll see in the other pics, to assess the part in detail. Again, a good rechrome candidate that needs some repairs made as is typical for this stuff.
