non air 71 Stage 1. I`m getting conflicting info, some are saying the long water pump, others are saying the short one. I found part numbers of 1235779 for the crank, and 1238156 for the water pump pulleys online. A friends non air 71 Stage 1, has this up. so ??? long, or short pump ? and does anyone have pulleys for sale ?
Stage one used all AC pulleys and waterpump. You can’t use the Correct AC pulleys with the short pump. Try it! Correct alternator pulley is double one. It is different part number than a 70 but looks similar. Slightly smaller diameter and thicker center section than a 70. Belt runs in front groove of alternator pulley only. So many guys run belt in rear groove or run two belts. Please don’t do that. I have seen people cut off the hole at the end of the alternator arm as well because they can’t find a non AC arm. It doesn’t exist.
T hanks guys. Here's my confusion,this is a friends 71 non air Stage 1. it has the pulleys with the part numbers from my first post. This is a pretty much survivor type of car. when I got my car it had a 75-76 motor in it, so nothing was correct
