71 Mach 1 vs the seat of my pants.

I had the pleasure of receiving a ride in an employee's Mach 1 clone. 351 w/ C6 and 3.25 posi.

Shifts nice, decent power, but in my highly subjective seat of pants feel'n would definately get owned by my Riviera.

0 to 40 good, shift was firm with a little cherp of the tires but not a firm feel of power (sinking in the back of the seat feel) Of course 2 to 3 was good too but with less torque.

Cruising around 25 and dropping the hammer was more disappointing, my cavalier down shifts and pulls harder.

Needs the frontend lowered about a 1" because the car was a little squirelly at round 65+ I attribute this to the nose sitting high when parked can only image how high under acceleration or highspeed cruising.

However, all around nice car. Definately a good driver. Decent looks, airdam and spoiler, red w/ black stripes.

That body style had a penchant for plenty of front end lift at higher speeds. I used to own the real deal, 71 Mach 1 429 SCJ Drag Pack 4 speed car. It would chow down your employees car for breakfast, while warming up. I suspect your Riv would do the same.:TU:

Oh yes, mine was also red with black trim.
