Rusty, thanks but I am good on sheet metal. My inner fenders were actually really nice. All I need now are fender skirt trim and tail light bezels.

Almost everything is done minus some trim and the door handles. I'm still awaiting the arrival of the door handle gaskets I ordered. The whole car still needs to be machine glazed. Lastly, the top will be replaced and the back window will be re-installed.

Mike, looks great! I need to get you some photos of the paint striping, so will plan to shoot those this evening.

Mike, here are images of the original-style paint stripe for the '71 Buick Centurion, which can easily be adapted in the rear quarter area for the Electra 225 series:

    Hood front:

Body side (car's hood is slightly open):

Rear quarter taper (Electra 225 body line does not curve downward like the LeSabre/Centurion cars):

Thanks for sharing those photos Brian. Exactly the answers I needed to the question I had in mind to ask here within a few days for my project. :TU:

Rob, please keep us posted on your upcoming project.

Mike, I wanted to mention how great your car looks with the protective bodyside moldings removed!

Thank you for the pics Bryan. I am very glad I decided to delete the moldings too. Honestly I haven't decided if I am going to stripe it yet. I may wait until after my wedding to figure it out.

Here's what I have so far. The car has been buffed and glazed. I am awaiting the arrival of my door handle and lock cylinder gaskets to show up to finally finish the body.

The all that is left is the exhaust and the top.

The rallys are on and the undercoating is done though!

    Wow, very nice job!
Sure brings back memories!! Have had 4 Deuces all 1975 and one Park, a 76. Lots and lots of hours making sure the panels were straight!!!!
I am remembering the very sore muscles and sore knees. Back then I didn't use power tools much cause I didn't trust myself to not burn through!
Love all the pics on your progress!!

Does anyone know where I can locate some rubber bumper fillers for the top outter edges of the rear bumper? Mine are as hard as rocks and have some pieces missing.

Bryan, it was like wet sanding and buffing a motor home. I owe a huge debt to my father. He also did a lot of the work, plus loaned me a space in his shop. Without his help I would have never finished it in time for the wedding. I have 11 days until its big debut as my wedding car.

I never though an Electra could look that good. How much to do all that to mine now
