    Hello all!

Knew you folks had a really nice site here since I've looked around here before. I usually hang out at ROP (RealOldsPower).
Anyhow I'm doing some shop cleaning and I've got a Q Jet that I thought I'd see if anyone here would be interested in; it's #7041544 MH and date code 1251. Unless I'm mistaken this was orginal to a '71 350 Buick but I've also seen the same # carb as correct for a GS Stage 1
A few years ago a friend dropped this off with me to rebuild for his kid's Buick which was a '72 Skylark IIRC. I say was because the kid destroyed the car a couple of weeks later just about the time I was almost do working on the carb. This Q Jet is in pretty nice shape; the throttle shafts aren't sloppy at all so I didn't bush them (didn't have the stuff to do it then anyway). I did go through it with a quality kit, I could tell it had been worked on before because the primary jets were kind of beat up but they cleaned up OK. IIRC they are 68's. while I'm thinking of it, it has BS secondary rods and an I hanger. I also put a new float in it.
The front vacuum break is on it but not good (needs replaced) and the rear choke pull-off is missing, it's also missing the rod that goes from the choke plate down to the choke shaft but I think I have one of those. Otherwise it's complete and looks good, inlet threads are fine.
I'm not a Q Jet expert or pro just been doing this stuff since I was 17 and I'm 52 now; I've rebuilt right at 100 QuadraJets and no problems.
I'd forgot I had this one until a few days ago.
Any one here interested? If so LMK soon otherwise it's off to eBay since I don't need it. If you need it I'm sure we can get together on a fair price; I'm easy to get along with and am not going to want $800 like one I just saw on eBay or something crazy like that but it's not junk and I'm not going to give it away either.

$100 OBO, contact me with any questions, also I'll post a couple of photos real soon.
    Mike

Sure, I'll ship it for the actual cost. Were are you located?
BTW as soon as I have 1 more post I'll be able to post some photos of it. I'll get that done shortly.
    Thanks,
    Mike

OK, if I can get this done right I'll get some pics on here. I'm semi-retarded about computers. :Dou:
