Before we start, I am building a '49 Buick hot rod and the 700R4 fit the original crossmember and placement better than a 2004R, so please don't suggest that I change to a 2004R.

I have a rebuildable core on hand and I used the Trans Dapt adapter for my fit ups. Also, I want a lockup torque converter as this is basically a cruiser, not a racer.

Which torque converter and flexplate are required to mate these up?

    Thanks for your help?

Stock 455 flexplate should work just fine with whatever converter you buy. The stock flex plate has both converter pattern holes. Pretty sure the 7004R converter will have the same 10.75 bolt pattern as a THM350/400 converter.
