I remember seeing this beauty in JW's shop during my one, and so far, only visit, in late summer 2005, before the resto began.

Upon close inspection of the photos, it appears that JW discovered, and thus removed, the drool marks serruptitious placed on the drivers door by yours truly. It was to be my silent signature upon this work of art.

Seriously Jim and Jim, you both continue to elevate the status of restorations to an even higher Nth degree, if that is possible.:beer

I doff my cap to each of you.

Now how about another free resto coupon for the rest of us plebes.:Brow: :Brow:
    (let the Franklins begin accumulating)

I hope that I can one day be able to view the finished result in person.

Yes, I am going....already made reservations in Jan. Going to be a caravan of trucks and trailered Buicks to Columbus from FL. I am totally fed-up with flying anymore and will be driving from now on. I will be driving my parts hauler/black express.

Well at least you didn't have to find that conv/cruise/defrost dash plate I think it would be rarer than the chicken lips :Do No:

Yes John, Jim's didn't have cruise.. in fact I have only ever seen 1 convert with rear defrost and cruise panel plate.. belongs to Ken Anderson down in FLA, and I replated and detailed it for him, along with his other plastic chome parts.

I was certainly sweating UPS losing that one, but everything worked out just fine.

Here's a couple new shots of Jim's car.

I have a friend with a 72 Lark vert optioned for an exec's wife . It has that plate and anothermember here in Az has one . He got his NOS off ebay with 3 other plates of which I got the defrost / cruise plate . That defrost option was so rare on these verts . I havea code 19/19 GS 455 hardtop that needs paint also , you got any left from that car ?:)

Hey I saw this car last time I was over at Jim's shop almost finished and Jim gave me the tour of his work on the car, now I know who the owner is (lucky you). Congrats on a super rare, and super cool GS. Jim said somehing about this car going into a museum is that true if so where will it be available to look at in person? I suspect this will be strictly a trailer queen:cool:

A visit to Trishield is always a treat, just to see what projects they are working on.

    Anyways :TU:

Jim, where and when will these two cars be shown? I may have to fly up to see them. Thanks,

    Frank:

If my car transporter does not back out on me and the weather does not look really bad we are going to BG in May and perhaps The Chamberlain /BPG event at National Trails is August. It takes a two car enclosed to haul these and I only have a one car open trailer.
