Is it OK to use the name of Jesus or God in an attempt to deceive? I guess so. It pays well for Benny Hinn.....But what about an ad for a '70 Stage 1 from Fremont? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=6144&item=2426134521 Dan
What would you expect? His eBay handle says it all: stingray69[0] Hey Dan, I have been wanting to tell you how much I love you're signature quote...it's great! I'm not sure it is ever really treatable though.
Dan, Funny you say that. I saw that auction earlier today and emailed the seller about some pics. Now, if you're gonna put an opening bid of $20k on something like that, wouldn't you have more than two pics to submit to any interested parties? Here's what I got....

Thanks, Brian. Sometimes the treatment is expensive, but so far the patient is alive and kicking! I know I can't take it with me; I'd rather have my heirs picking through car parts than bank books. I wonder if the seller knows he's selling a clone. I wonder if he's honest enough to change his description/deception. Dan
I wonder if the seller will even reply. I've tried to contact people in the past regarding their ads being wrong and NEVER once has anyone replied...
LOL! and i like how radial is upside down. a friend of mine has a spare that says 'land schooner' in RWL.
Re: Tires Not that there is anything wrong with that! I think I'd bring a can of flat black paint with me when I picked it up. :bglasses:
Yes Sir Marco; I think your right to send this person the info. It's a good idea to set the record straight even if the person does not reply.
Well, he hasn't updated his auction.... I think it would be a good idea to notify any bidders of the car's true identity. I would think, though, that someone willing and able to shell out the opening bid would first research the '70 Stage 1 in general and have someone check it out before they place a bid. Dan
I thought that I would be able to post an explanation on ebay when I retracted my bid, but evidently that is not the case. Oh well Chris
I totally believe in Jesus and all, but why in a car auction does someone feel the need to tell me that Jesus loves me? uzzled: That irks me. I KNOW Jesus loves me. When someone tells me again it's like inferring I've somehow forgotten it.
I agree with you Ken. Sometimes I see stuff like that written in inappropriate places. I don't at all mean to be sacriligious, but I was in a bathroom once and someone had written "Jesus Saves" Underneath it someone else had scrawled, "and Gretsky tips it in." I laughed so hard I almost fell down, but felt somewhat uncomfortable about what I was laughing about. Another one that I don't like a whole lot is the plethora of fish symbols on cars. Not only have the atheists, etc., made Darwin parodies of them, a few friends of mine have been screwed by contractors with these emblems on their trucks. It seems like they are using it to fool people into thinking they are honest or something. I believe the deepest faith is usually the quietest (unless one is required to stand up and defend it.) Dan
