70 Stage 1 4-speed Stripper Chassis Resto Pics

I am not sure if this car was ordered by a customer or by the dealers sales dept at Brekhus Buick in rapid city s.d. I went with tinted glass. That and a 16 inch sport steering wheel is the only change from original and could be changed thanks dbs John and Steve for posting

Thanks I need to take this to MCAN in Windy City and BG in 19 or 20 for the 50th! I just had Gary foster start on my LAST one, 70 stage 1 4 speed ac Sherwood green white buckets consolette we are going to do this one as body on, chassis is nice and solid, under hood will be correct but with mt headers and 3 inch x pipe exhaust. Gary is 82 years young and does this concourse work in his small shop! I thought I better have him do it while he is able and in the mood.

 

Ttt I am reposting this as some may like to check it out, and after seeing the white 70 stage 4 speed sell for over 200k !

is that the same foster that had a silver gs?i think he was from iowa,if so i judged his car at the nats way back when,i think that was the frist time he had the car there,i think davy painted it and he did all the rest

 

You bet it is, Gary is from fort dodge iowa and he and Dave kleiner did a lot of business, Gary did all of Dave’s engines for his restos,Gary did 3 70 stage 1s for me and his work is one of the best out there. I would not of met gary but for Dave k as he gave me Gary’s number for a engine rebuild and I went to his shop and saw his 70 silver mist 4 speed and as soon as I saw it I asked if he would do a car for me, Gary is one of a kind, he does engines, trans,bodywork ,restos, and also builds and did race/ drive them1978 skidoo blizzard 440 super stock race sleds for ice racing, he beats everyone, even the big shot racers gregg
