70 skylark ... to be rebuilt

    So I did some more today... radiator and cover. Fan shroud, battery tray. ,cover for radiator.

    So I had a couple hours to devote to my car . Installed distributor, vacuum canister, putting wiring in place , may have to replace that. Put alternator belt on . Have to replace heater hoses and control valve...... Things are going in reasonably well. Looks like I need to replace my wiper motor box where the plug goes in..... Must have smashed it somehow.

    Since my last post I've got the fan on with all the belts, hoses going in .... Front end support for the hood latch and grill. Looking at the grill it's shot, well the plastic mounts are, only one stud left all others are broken. I'm thinking of putting on a skylark hood instead of the GS hood because I could use the GS hood for one of my next 2 projects..... It'll be hard to bolt on just a skylark hood but well see.

    Bought a 3:42posi rear end for the car. Going to take out the 5:13 .

    I'm really close to hooking up the gas lines, carb and battery . Can't wait, but so much other things to do around here.

    Ok,been having some rain days. starter in turns over. battery in, obviously, working on lights and rest of electric. put some used wheels and tires on. , putting plugs and wires in today. working on rear tail lights. I'm really getting close. Now. Yabba

    All lights hooked up and working. had to use a 71 light harness for the rear tail lights. all those sockets were very rusty. luckily my best bud came over and gave me. A hand. working on the headlight bucket s. Need to find those lenses screw s.

    Spark plugs in. Need to get plug wires.

    Need to install. Carb and fuel lines.

    Mounted front seat put parking lights in front bumper. installed front bumper brackets. order ed bumper bolts,and 5 other odds and ends from OPG.

    received multiple pieces I ordered from OPG I'm looking forward to putting my bumper on the front of this car for my first car from way back in the 1979 connect crazy I know haven't had much time to work on it due to working but looking forward to it if this is messed up it's only because I'm doing this via microphone

    Changed intake from stock to stage 1. Set carb on the motor. Hooked up fuel lines, front bumper, head lights, bezel. . All lights work. DSC_0492.jpg

    Updates today, put on skylark hood, got aligned, need a handle.
    got plate light working.
    installed trunk lock
    wire wheeled rear floor and por 15
    polished bumper s
    I had the front lights reversed so fixed that.....

    Getting there.

    Moved chrome from old grille onto newly purchased grill, turned out nice.
