is it a real X? if not than thats a REALLY good looking clone, if it is then its gonna be a real nice X
I plan on having the interior together and the doors on it by the end of the month. Gotta finish the heads and trans then I can hopefully fire it up by late July. Once its together and finished then I'll start building the 482 aluminum head stock appearing engine,...nothing too crazy just 575 to 600hp
Easiest door and fender install I've ever done on a ABODY. she's ready to be back on the road I'll be top coating it in a couple weeks then stripes a couple weeks later
Got 4 hoods to choose from,...will hopefully pick one next week and get it blasted and in epoxy for test fit,...got NOS hood grills and buckets,...been saving my good stuff for this one for almost 20 years
I’ve seen the biscuit edition 70 GSX, I’m guessing this one is going to be called the “great white” edition? With seat headrests like that, it’s got to be some sort of special edition, right?
Back when I drove it in high school i borrowed some styling ques from the prototype,...had the front spoiler like the prototype,..headrest decals,..and painted the hood the same way,...it's going back 100% correct this time tho
Was hoping to get it going with a nice engine,..but due to time and money,..it's gonna get a fresh home built 72 block with 70 pistons,..stock 71 stage heads,... and entirely too much camshaft ha,...a 242/250 with around 520 lift,...will probably need to hand Dremel the Pistons for clearance but should sound nice and with the 110lsa and the Coan 11in converter will be an old school combo,... hopefully goes mid 12s
Been saving this pair for about 15yrs now,...came off a 4door that the hood opened and closed absolutely perfect,...they were also protected by an engine that spewed oil from every gasket possible ha,...cleaned up MINT!!
Just dropped off the block for quickie short block build,....mill is just temporary unless it runs better than expected 70 block,..no oil mods other than suction galley cut 20 Stock 70 pistons Steel shims Stock 71 stage heads cut 20 242/250 536/536 110lsa Stock manifolds,.....gonna run 12s I feel sure Still gotta top coat it,..wait a week the stripes,..then put it all together,....drive 450miles to BG,..win BSA,..drive home,....no problem ha
