Hi folks.. I'm new to the forum but am a longtime TR owner..

While talking with an individual about a GN today, i got to look at some "old" buick muscle he also has.

One particular car of interest is an original, numbers matching 1970 GS455 Stage 1 with Ram Air. The body is extremely solid with little to NO rust. The interior/seats/carpet/etc need redone. The paint is faded and "might" buff, but i am doubtful.

It is an auto with the console and buckets. Ram air intake in tact.
Rear bumper is pitted but he has an N25 bumper to go on it.
Only thing missing is a radiator (someone stole it). The car is kept in a cinder block warehouse and someone broke in.

Anyway, long story short... What is a fair price on an all original numbers matching 1970 GS 455 Stage 1 ram air car that needs paint (but has a very solid/dentfree body), needs interior and to be brought back from it's slumber (hasn't run in 8 years but the motor is free)? It also has AC, ps, pb..

I'm looking to add another buick (older muscle this time) to the family..
    Thanks in advance..

It's hard to determine a price without seeing the car, and second, the N-25 bumper was never available on a '70 GS! You as we all have to determine what the car is worth to you, will it run or will it have to rebuilt after sitting, you can figure any price from a couple K to lots more, depending on how much it needs to be what "you" want it to be, that's the question? Can you live with the paint the way it is, etc. Don't ever want to tell you what it is worth, cause that's really up to you and the seller!

Yes, the n25 bumper is from a 71 but he was going to throw it in so i thought what the heck.
I realize it is hard to say what it is worth, but i am looking for a ballpark estimate. You don't see these cars everyday so i'm not as familiar with their values as other more "dime a dozen" cars.
    Thanks..

I'm not going to suggest a value, but I will add a few things of interest. You say "numbers matching." If so, that is VERY important, as the only real verification of an original Stage 1 is a body-matching VIN on an SS block, or build sheet.
Also, ALL 69-72 GSs are "ram air." so that is no big deal.

    good question..

Mark, based on your description, I would say $4500-$5500, if you could drive it away....$6500.

    Just my .02 tenths..
