Adam, mine is on the other cover. It could be a plant thing. Seeing as I can spot like maybe 8 things wrong at a glance in that pic, it may not be the best engine bay to copy!
Here's a pic from my car the day it came off the truck. There's 10 things wrong here, too. lol The red dot, that's usually present on these cars. Not on my 442, and not sure what it means. Still looking...
Here's my engine after a little detailing. You can see it on the box. Let me see if I can find some originals...
This is from my low mile 72 Zone car. Frank now has his in the correct place. I used a little contact cement and reattached my original decal. Hope this helps. Nelson .
I've been at this stuff a long time. Years ago, what would happen was somebody would see a picture of an engine bay with marks and just copy them. Like copy the color number on the firewall, because it looked nice. Stick a decal someplace, because they saw it on another car. That's why we have the orange "CAUTION FAN" decals on GM cars. The evap box decal is like that. It's also like the trunk jack sticker, there's no exact place it goes. Look at the pic of the 1967 GS 400 engine sticker I posted last night. GM did that! You would be laughed out of MCACN if you did that, now. It is nice to know why marks and things are there. Like that red paint dot. The pic you posted Adam, wow...crazy stuff wrong in that pic with gold hinges, missing rad hook, weird shroud, and backwards cowl seal, right away tells me something.
