I found a local GS for sale and would like to know what it was originally equipped as....

It currently has a rebuilt 430 in it and is cloned as a Stage1. The owner told me it has a set of factory Stage2 headers on it...I looked and they are square port....riiiiiight.

He wants $8500....deal??? Good solid Nevada Car...

    Stage 2 headers

I thought they would be round, but I have never seen any.:Do No:
Standard heads & stage 1 are rectangular. I have to admit that I have never seen square header pipes either. If you ask in the street/strip, you will get a quik, accurate answer.:TU:

    Re: Stage 2 headers

    Dan -

You are correct. All the headers are round, regardless if they're bolted to a standard/Stage1 or Stage2 head.

    Adam -
You say square port? Are you referring to the heads? The exhaust ports on factory Stage2 heads are round.

The headers are round...but they are rectangular coming out of the flange. NOT Stage 2 as advertised. I almost tried to tell the guy,but let him revel in his glory. They are not stage1 heads I am told....sooooooooo..

    It's all basically a facade.

I just took pictures of the car and will upload them tomorrow evening.

I am correct in the fact that the header ports and head ports on Stage2 will be ROUND?? I thought so. THis guy doesnt know much about his car. It is a clean rust free car, but is it worth the $8500?

I would say it's worth $8500 only if it's clone-ness is it's ONLY problem. If no rust, perfectly good paint and interior, needs nothing--then yes, i'd say it is worth $8500.

    It's pretty meaty too...

3.55 posi, rear tires (failry) wide...lots of good tread left..

    430 rebuilt 4000 miles ago.

Column shift...car comes with a full length console.

Electric fuel pump hidden under the car...I believe the mechanical pump is still there.

The headers are nice, jet hot coated...I don't believe they are factory stage2's like he says they are. I think the seller filled his head full of crap with that one.

He also tried to tell me that they didn't put 455's in GS's!!   :spank: :spank:

I don't want to do that. Bruce, are you interested in the car? It's very nice.
