Hi everybody. I talked to a friend here in Sweden yesterday. He said he saw a 6-wheel 70 Electra for sale in the US. Does anyone have any pics of such a car? He said Buick made 3 of those cars. They supposed to be 4-wheel drive and that you can raise/lower the rear axle. Would be interesting to see if somebody knows anything about them.

From what I heard one was for sale at Carlisle or Hersey. Info says Buick made three of these cars with only one survivor. If anyone has info I sure would appreciate anything.

Regarding the 6 wheel Buick... I've never heard of it either. But the more I'm here, the more I realize I don't know squat. I'd love to see pics of this monster if it exists!

yeah, that'd be an understatement. was the extra axle behind or in front of the normal drive axle? behind would put it in the trunk / gas tank area, in front would put it in the back seat footwell.

was it a 2/3 seater or what?

    memory

if memory serves me right it was behind the axle - it had bumps(Kinda like Lincoln Humps on the trunk of the Marks) in the quarters to accomadate the wheels -

Yes........now I remember........I forget where but I've seen a picture of that.........God, that thing is ugly.......that takes the term sacrilige to a whole new level. I didn't know it was a Buick for some reason. (that was probably a good thing) :spank:

There is/was an Electra six wheel car for sale in The Netherlands a while back. But it doesn't looked like it was a factory option.
