Hi All. It has been a few years since I have been here. Sold my 71 GS MAYBE 4 years ago. My wife sold her car a few years back as well and was searching for a replacement. Not finding the right car until last Saturday She is now a Buick girl . 70 Skylark. Looks to have been cared for pretty good. Been repainted. Seats re upholstered. Odometer reads 56.000 miles plus. From new it has been elderly owners. Built in Oshawa. I was going to post a photo. But later I guess. Looks like I can not do it directly from my computer I think.
So I attempted posting photos. And was not able to. I only have my iPad to work from currently. Maybe that's the issue. I will try to get the photos to someone to post them.
Very Nice, and the Better Half has a Huge Smile, your out of the dog house for awhile :TU: . :TU: . :TU: . Till you start buying new parts to go onto that Sweet Buick :beers2: .
Hey Al the picture with the car at a show. Is that the Barrie wednesday night show? I've been meaning to make it there. By the way nice car.
The photo at the car show is Barrie Saturday night at Burger King. That was where we saw it for sale. If the insurance company get us what we need today. Should be there tomorrow evening. Have you been there. Not usually to many Buicks there.
Nope. I make it to lots of shows in Orillia and met a guy there with a red convertible. I think he helps or runs a cruise night in Barrie and told me I should check it out. I plan on making it to Barrie the first or second week in July. Maybe see you there.
That would be Rick. What car have you got. Where can I see some photos. I have never made it to the Orillia cruise. I have to start getting Old Autos newspaper again for show listings. We were at the Barrie show again tonight. Awesome night. Look forward to meeting up with you.
Nice ride. Should give you many years of enjoyment. Just some info, your car is a Flint MI car. Oshawa stopped Buick production for the 1969 model year. The reasons for all the GM Oshawa stickers is that the car was originally imported by GM Canada for a new car sale. This can be seen in the VIN and Body Tag. This said, GM Oshawa will have all details pertaining to this car in their library if you want more info on it. But, it looks like you did well scoring the plate and documentation. Have fun with her. Chris
Hi Chris. Thank you. Yes it was the same with my 71 GS. It was great being able to get information through vintage vehicle services. We have enjoyed this car and it has not been a week yet. Lol. I am going to Auto Fest in August will you be there.
Nice ride. What is the white wall width on your tires? I am looking at Diamond back tires but like the white wall look. Thanks, Ed T
Thanks. I do not know the white wall width. But can check. Those wheels are coming off. Buick rallies are going on.
Al, you are on the V8BUICK BOARD MEMBERS MAP OF THE WORLD :TU: I couldn't figure out who you were because you used your real name instead of your board name. But a little board search for Innisfil solved the mystery :beer You are the third member from that little town, they sure like Buicks there, eh?
I never thought. When it said name. I was not thinking board name. I know Rick is on here. He has a sweet 70 rag top BBB. Not sure who the third guy is. I see a number of guys at the big AutoFest show in Oshawa usually
