Just wanted to know if the front turn lamp assemblies were the same for '70-'72 skylarks. I'm thinking of buying a pair listed on this site that are made from '70 backs and '71 lenses. I'm ok if part number or date stamp is not the same as a '72 as long as the parts are the same otherwise.
    Thanks, Craig

I think the housings are the same, a 71-72 lens and a 70 lens are different. A 70 lens is bigger and the hole in a 70 bumper is bigger. The mounting points are the same. Bottom line, they should work for you.

the back bracket housing, (back black piece) are the same thru the years 70-72. It is the lenses/ fronts are what is different. I had a pair of extra 72 and the bracket on my 70 broke. So I compared the 2 and they were the same so I just switched the fronts and was good to go. A 71/72 will not fit the 70 bumper by the way, they other way around, I cant tell you.

Actually, a 71-72 will fit on a 70 bumper, There was one on one side of my 70 when I bought it. It just looks goofy.

yes it would fit if you shaved off some of the lens on the front, but without modifying it then no it would not fit.
