Re: 72 GS 350 Convertible Wow! Time flies! And cars change! That post was from February of 06' I sold that car in February of 11' to another board member The garage now has a 70 GS 455 in it
This is a 72 GS 350, that has been cloned to a GS"X" car. Its all steel except for the fiberglass hood. Got full interior and best ET we did untill now is a 10.76ET in the 1/4 mile.
We have been messing with this car for 10 + years. Finally have it to 95%. It is on a truck headed to my Son in Michigan. We plan to be at the Woodward Cruise on August 18th.

Guess who? Been awhile gang. Some of you will remember, and yes, I'm still on the grassy side. Lousy video but all that's new except the Tremec 5spd. Got the 4.10 out this week and went back to 3.55 with the OD.. Yeehaw? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KH9uITSSmMw&feature=youtu.be
My homemade 72 gs-455 (Skylark custom) I sold it in 1994 and have been obsessed with getting another buick for about the last 8 months or so. I recently tracked this car down in France.
I want to replace the frontshocks on my 72 GS. I don't think they have ever been replaced. I only need the front. I am running air-shocks on the rear. I am not cheap but I see they can get pretty pricey, pretty quick! I just want the best bang for my buck. The car is a street car, with visions of taking it to the track one day (if interested in what we have done so far we have kept a record on My Garage Page http://www.v8buick.com/garage_vehicle.php?do=view_vehicle&id=810 ). While we are at it let us add to the wish list: be nice if they were chrome plated. I would prefer a performance up grade. What do you guys recommend?
I have been a member for a couple of years but never posted a pic of my cars. Here is a couple of pics..... The 1971 was at Hemming's Musclepalooza and won second place Buick earlier this year. 350 car. 57K mile car lots of documentation. The 1972 GSX clone is a car we did for my then 15 year old son that is now twenty. The GN I bought new when I was 19. Glad I kept it all these years. Good times. Don't drive them nearly as often as I would like but someday....... Mike
