Nice find and a good deal. Remember seeing this a number of years ago when it was restored. Think it was by a GM mechanic with substantial NOS parts if I am correct.
Looking at the engine photos- they are just 2 different car's engines. an a/c car with shiny bay and the Stage 1 with some problems IMHO
I sent him photos of what his air cleaner should look like ( I think he has a 70 air cleaner) and he sent them to the guy who did the ad to show him and the guy posted the photos.
Hi Guys - this is my car First, a big thanks to Chris who was trying to help me improve the listing - I didn't control the ad and the person who did posted pictures Chris sent me (which he wasn't supposed to do) I will rework the ad and include some photos of engine and driveline castings and numbers - the air cleaner is not correct and won't be changing If anyone has questions or has an interest in the car, pls PM me Thanks!
The car came for Calgary That i can tell (and was told by the second owner from whom i bought it) it has not had a body off restoration Cleanup was done in the engine bay and underneath
Per the second owner, the car was originally delivered to Magwood Motors in Nanton, Alberta. I believe there is a build sheet with the car?
Hi Chris - yes, that was the selling dealer Nanton is 58 minutes from Calgary by Google maps - I have the original dealer POP with the dealer stamp I also have the GM of Canada documentation that shows all of the options - the car, in addition to a Stage 1 (option L75) was also pretty loaded Thanks!
For a little more owner history, MB was the first owner and lived in Calgary - the second owner (my seller), DE, lived close by and coveted the car and periodically asked MB to sell it to him - he never did - upon MB's death, MB's son sold it to DE, who finally had his wish come true So, the car has been in Calgary its whole life until I bought it - given that, there is no rust anywhere on the car and it has its original panels - both guys must have babied it Thanks
