just bought 69 sport wagon need to find parts for it.please help is 69 skylark,4-door the same need carpet ,seat upolstry, looking for 69 gs hood,gs grill, rear springs something like varible rate to stiffen it up cant i use 70-72 disc brake set up will it bolt in,
The Moog rear spring is CC501, variable rate and can be found cheap. Napa sells them too, same number. Interior stuff, especially matching the Sport Wagon "Western Bramble" embossing has not been found. As far as I know, it is Sport Wagon Custom only, but may be regular Sport Wagon too. Carpet is easy, and the rear (Way-back) carpeting is just bound and screwed to the floor and tailgate. As far as I know, the 70 up brakes dont't work, and if you arent going to change the geometry for Camaro uprights, then you might as well use the ebay disc kits discussed in the "whoa" section. Jay "Western Bramble" is a name I made up because it looks western except its a bramble too.
No I would not think the carpet is the same. The wagon is a B body and the skylark /GS is an A body. If it is not listed directly I would think another 69 B body like a 69 LeSabre is what you need. Check with Duane on here as he was once in this business. http://www.stockinteriors.com/Model.asp?MakeId=3&Desc=Buick_Carpet If Legendary or PUI do not have the seat covers you may try SMS. http://www.legendaryautointeriors.c...lcatalog.aspx?id=AA&make=G&year=69&desc=buick http://www.puiinteriors.com/product.htm http://www.smsautofabrics.com/
Sportwagon is more A body than B body. 5 on 4 3/4 wheels is the telltale for me. The carpet looks the same to me, even in front of the back seat, which obviously folds down on a wagon, but the carpet around the front of the backseat lays the same. Jay
Sportwagon is an A body but it is stretched 4" in the rear door as compared to a 4 door lark or special wagon. Carpet from those will not work. Tim
yeah... forgot about that. Looks the same and is the same, are not the same. thats why the rear door panels are rare, too. Well, maybe splice 2 carpet sets, or add a section under the front seat between the molded front section and the molded rear section. thanks for reminding me (us) jay
