I am wondering has anyone made an auto meter style dash for the 69 skylark? I am wanting to add a 3 3/8” speedo, tach and a smaller fuel gauge and clock. My speedo has not worked correctly since I got it and rather than send it out I’d like to store it away now and do something different. Im trying to figure out how to fit it without cutting up the original dash at all. Just making an insert. Has anyone done this or have any ideas? I searched quite a bit and found nothing. Seems like chevelle and nova have aftermarket panels. Thanks guys.

Not that I know of. 70-72, yes. I think it is possible to convert over to the 70-72, but it would be very expensive and an electrical nightmare.

I’m working on an idea now that won’t damage the stock bezel. Basically I will remove the factory gauge cluster and install a panel that is out towards the opening and not set back like the factory gauges. That way you can use a 3.75 speedo and tach. I ordered some black 1/4” think plastic sheet. I will update with pics as I go along. So far I have only made a sketch out of cardboard to see if I like the look or not.

I like the newer dash but I really like the 69 I have.

That’s what I have been thinking so far.

That’s what I have so far using some speedway gauges.
