The part number on the back of my original GS emblem is 1381655. GMpartsdirect didn't list it. Anybody got a pair, or know who reproduces them? -- Steve
Steve Other than the size of the pins on the back , the Riviera GS emblem should be the same in front appearance as the GS Skylark. Some Riv's had Gold paint , but My 68 Riv had red letters. The 70 -72 GS emblem has three fat posts, the outer 2 being close to 2 1/8th " apart and the center pin inline with the outer 2. I have the Skylark GS fender emblems NOS. $57.50 pr shipped U.S . Email if you are interested Thanks Bill
Uh, my RIV GS emblem has three pins. two pins vertically in line on the back of the S (1-3/16" apart), one pin at the top of the G (1-3/8" from the top pin on the S. Whole emblem is about 3" long and 1-5/16" tall. Is your emblem the same size? -- Steve
Steve, The pin location ins't even close. The emblem is 3 1/4' long by 1 3/8th high. Maybe 69 was different then 68. Are you sure that is the original emblem? Bill
Are the emblems original? Dunno. However, the fenders are currently off the car and there are no signs of extraneous holes in the fenders to fit other emblems, which would make one think the emblems I have are original. Plus a 69 Riv GS aint the kind of car anyone clones. I'll check through my assembly manuals at home if I ever get there, but I really doubt I can confirm anything. -- Steve
1361251 is the p/n my book shows for 67-69 Riv GS. The number on the back is usually just a casting number and not always the p/n. Don't know how much luck you will have finding the Riv GS emblem as most are the Skylark GS type out there. Give the p/n a search and see what you turn up. Good Luck, Mark
I have a set from the 70 I parted out. it was an EARLY production, & has the Gold instead of red (No big deal) I will check pin location when it stops raining. he are is VG condition. JR Wills

Good golly, JR, how did I miss you're reply? I am still looking for these emblems if anyone has some. And, uh, whatchyou mean gold? 70 had a different color emblem? Also, are they from a Gran Sport or a Riv GS? I don't think they are the same. -- Steve
JR. you are the first person I have either talked to or read about, that has said anything about the Gold GS emblem. In the early 80's I ordered a set of 1394199 GS emblems for a 70 "A" car and the customer returned them because they were Gold instead of Red. I sold one and kept one and have not seen one since. I have never found a part number with the description of Gold GS emblem. WOW:shock: DW
I have a 69 Riv GS parts car that still has the emblems on it. They are completely different from the later Skylark version. Appear to be the same size but they are about half as thick.
Steve, I'll try to get a better look soon. Did not want to fight the 3ft high weeds, snakes and 95 degree weather this afternoon.
That's a sacrifice I'm willing to make. Got disc brake rotors? Probably not anymore, I guess. Got a lens for the back of the center console? Appreciate your help -- can't seem to find the emblems NOS, and mine are POS. -- Steve
Hi Steve, I have one Riv G.S. emblem with the same number on the back side. Paint is faded, chrome is very good, one of the top pins is bent, but should still serviceable. If interested P.M. me. Bill
Steve, I got them off today and cleaned them up. The chrome looks good. Not show chrome but decent factory chrome. Paint is faded. All the studs are intact and I have all the nuts. ( except the center on the passenger side that the factory forgot to put on, probably because the power antenna is in the way). If you send me your e-mail I can send you some pics. These came off a 53K mile car that was parked in 1982 because a tree fell across the roof. Bob rrrestoration@texramp.net
