    Hi All
I have a 69 Riv that came with what looks to be a piece of angle iron bolted to the rear frame cross member. Was this factory? or a mod someone did later? Is it worth keeping? The car has the heavy duty suspension option.
    Thanks

More than likely it was part of a trailer hitch. One my '70 Estate Wagons had a piece very similar.

Yes I considered a hitch but the "tongue" wouldn't be square or very level. Maybe I'm over thinking it. Thanks for the reply
that probably explains the rear shocks with helper springs
