    Hi All
I have the oe disc brake set up on my Riv. I am trying to figure out the brake line, hose and bracket arrangement. My chassis manual isn’t much help detailing this. So I am hoping someone can post pics of theirs
    Thanks

Is this an original disc brake car?

Mine is in storage so I cant help you with pics. The rotors mount on the rear section. If your looking at the face of the right front rotor, the rotor would be at 11 o'clock. There should be a cutout in the shield to mount them. Do you have the shields on the wrong sides?

Well that wasn’t expected lol. looking at the book I thought the calipers were forward of the spindle. Seemed wrong to me but I questioned my memory and installed the way I thought I was interpreting the drawing.

What I was wondering about is the actual brake hard line to hose to brake hard line to caliper arrangement. I have the first bracket on the frame and hose mounted but not sure about the attachment point of the second bracket at the other end of the hose

    Thanks for the heads up

I’m going to mock it up and see
I think I can follow everything in this pic. Although the steering attachment looks different ( at least on my phone)
Thanks again for your help. Very appreciated!

Ok got it all except the darn hose bracket figured out. I looked in the parts catalogue and your bracket looks like the one in the catalogue. Mine looks more like the 70 version. So I’m sure the concept is the same. I have another bracket that I think works with it and a screw for alignment. The numbers stamped on the brackets are 792R and 794R

Full disclosure, I have to admit that I stole the pic from another thread. It gave a good representation of the basic set up. I would have to look at my car to remember how the brackets go. You would think after close to 35 years of ownership, I would know. With the way the weather has been, I don't think I can get it out of storage for another couple weeks.

The brackets appear to be the same as for a front drum setup because the spindles are the same etc. The hard line sizes may be different and the bend to the MC but this isnt the problem. All that to say, I had the same problem with my brackets when I took everything off and not paid attention. Basically you gotta figure it out or look at some else's car. Really though so log is there not binding or strain it will be fine.

Thanks I’ve got it beat now those brackets do bolt together. I must have a late build 69. I’ve had the car 24 years but it’s been apart for twenty. Coincidentally my oldest is now twenty lol. Oh well now it’s time to get back at it...
