Love Motion touching all GM. There is a test I think in Hot Rod. Might be Rod and Custom back in 1970. Yellow W-30 with Red stripes. Yes red stripes on a yellow W-30. That car has Motion Performance stickers on it. I see I have 60+ pages to read now on this post....
Great story. Great info. Beautiful car. Great piece of Buick Motion and musclecar history. Huge props for doing all you did.
Currently it is up at Nick's shop. He just replaced the front bumper and grill surround that I borrowed, with my parts. (I had borrowed those pieces from Gene Hill and Nick so I could make the show season last year.) I finally have all my own parts on the car. I get to pick it up next week. Glad you enjoyed the read. Ya know I have a great group of friends here. I just got something really nice in the mail today and wanted to share it with everyone. Gene Hill has been talking to Cole about finding a "Canadian" 69 GS Owners Manual for my car. The car was made in Canada but shipped to the USA, so I was not sure whether it would have come with a US or Canadian Owners Manual. Anyway Cole found a beautiful example and sent it to Gene, then Gene sent it to me. They did everything on the QT, so I would not know it was coming. I have heard of these pieces but have never seen these before, and they are absolutely beautiful. They sent the dealership folder, with the Owners Manual, Protect-o-plate, and Warranty pamphlet. All three pieces are very different from the US versions and the Warranty pamphlet is really cool. It is in English on the one side, and if you flip it over, it is in French on the other side. I could not be happier, and want to thank them again. I am posting some pics below. Enjoy. Duane
Kind of a strange name for the original owner. Am I reading this right?? ws The 2171 is a store front and the other 2171 is an apartment at the rear. https://www.google.com/maps/@49.235...4!1siB974PEdjrgbq3kMGcEjXQ!2e0!7i16384!8i8192
Wait a minute, Duane...you borrow NOS parts from somebody and then they send you a gift??? Do you have any NOS parts I can borrow? lol
They would have to be 70-72 parts. Although my friend Tim gave me a set of NOS 69 GS hood seal plates, and an NOS 71-72 GSX front spoiler baffle around a month ago. Duane
That dealership is no longer there, but I've found a photo from April 1968 that has the dealership in the background. You can see it behind the "Bank of Montreal" building. My father bought a very nice 1980 LeSabre from the same dealership at their newer location (where they still are) in Burnaby, BC
