Awesome car looking forward to watching the progress I also have a nos left side quarter if needed I'm sure I won't ever use it.
I don't have an email I don't take time to check it like I need to but feel free to call me anytime 7163973458 I don't have it listed anywhere for sale my name is Tom
A step-by-step resto of a Stepchild by two masters of Buick correctness, and it’s a stage, and a four speed, and a Motion car. Yep, I like this! Patrick
What carb is going on this car? I happen to have an NOS 1969 Stage 1 carb with a late 68 date code on the shelf...
We got a Holley 3-barrell with the car. There was also a Holley 4-barrell but the intake was notched out for the 3-barrell so we opted to take that one. We will have to see if the 3-bbl is too much carb for the 400. You have to appreciate Nick with a wizzer wheel. It will end up being a much better car, and now I have LOTS of things to clean/blast. I also wanted to thank Tom for selling me the left quarter panel that we needed. Duane
Not wasting any time with it! I just had a set of quarters delivered yesterday...going to start doing the same this this weekend.
Adam, I hear ya. Nick boxed up your pieces yesterday and will be mailing them off. When do you plan on sleeping, sometime in Late October? By the way, today I am getting a crash course in polishing Hurst Wheels. That should be fun.
Here is a pic of the passenger side saddle bag. It shows the code "C08" which is for a vinyl top. Enjoy.
Pat, Yeah, we are going to do it up as close as we can to the way it was. It will have the double pinstripes down the sides as well as the special stripes on the hood, tulip panel, and trunk lid. I have all the emblems, so they will be going back on. With Lt. blue bucket seats, with accented Dark blue pieces, and a Dark blue Rallye wheel the interior should really look nice. Especially with the Hurst wheels and red line tires on a Lt. Blue car. Nick and I were looking at the wheels yesterday and it appears a previous owner did some polishing to the one wheel. Even as dirty as it was we both said that was the one that really popped, so we/I will probably do the other 4 to match. We will see. I also got James Weinmann's care package yesterday so now I have the original re-plated shifter handle and knob. Thanks James. Duane
I can’t wait to see it painted and striped. At the rate y’all are moving that’ll be what, Wednesday? Patrick
Patrick, My gut feeling is that Nick will be finished on his end before I will. I am doing my best to keep ahead of him, with finding parts etc., but am sure that we will be held up at sometime. I am trying not to do the same thing that happened with the X-Camino. The morning before the show I was installing the armrest that I painted the night before. Duane
