Agreed, my favorite part of the car is the Hurst Wheels and the Emblems really set off the car espically once cleaned up and the car painted.
Here are some pics Nick took after he stripped the shell and power washed it. You can see the Gloss White paint where it was under the GS trunk lock. Nick said most of the stripes had been almost sanded off, possibly to get the car ready for a re-paint. Enjoy Duane
Here is how I fixed the Back-up light. One of the "sockets was broken, so I cut the socket part out of a 70-72 rear side marker light and super glued it in. I had to "radius" the remnants of the original socket out so it would not impact the light plug. Duane
I'll email them to you. It's Arizona sheetmetal. It's all covered up but I'll see if I can get pics this week. I might be up that way next month & could drop it off if you want to (carefully) cut it out. I'd probably need the rest of it back unless you have a need for it, but I paid pretty decent $ for it between the part itself and the ride. Any need for the '69 trunk floor? It's about as perfect as could be. Can horse trade for other parts too.
Car is in amazing shape for sitting so long! I will have to swing by Nicks shop to nose around and get in the way someday soon, hopefully in my 69.
Look at all those markings on the saddle bags. you should put the motion ring up for sale on the yenko site
"Canadian built car! You can send away to GM of Canada and get the build specs!" I have all that, Jimmy got it years ago so I know exactly how it was originally optioned. The car came with red lines. Should look great on a blue car. 53 is the color and 181 is the trim, and there is no "PC" next to the booster, which the Flint cars would have. Thanks Ken. Duane
