    Oh man. If it's at Gateway, you know they only paid about $20-25K for the car and are selling it for that $54K. Nice cars but really at the top of the market. My neighbor has bought two cars from them. And they still have all the problems you'd expect buying an older car.

    Yeah I think the premium you pay at these places is because they do all the leg work locating these things.

    Those are nice cars, really like the 67-69 SS427 cars.

    Was the Caprice hideaway headlights even offered as a option on a Impala?

    They sure were stingy with the pictures . I had a 68 SS hardtop , big block , console shift automatic 30 years ago . That car would burn rubber at 20 with five big drunk idiots in it .

    I saw they had a 67 on the BJ auction.

    The 70, although the same underneath appears dowdy in comparison. Have to wonder what the compulsion was at the time to change it nearly every year. Appearance wise. Believe they had killed off the SS version as well for 70.
