Does anyone here know if the '69 GS Stage 1 alternator has the same paint/ink stamping code on it as the '70 models. Referring to a 1100774 alt, 55A...was used in both '69 and '70.

I've seen "BD" ink/paint stamped on the '70 alt but wondering about '69's.

    Thanks

    I'm dealing with a 55A 1100774 for a '69 Stage 1. Duane's alt (in the link) is a different alt....different number and 37A.

I noticed that after I posted but maybe the code on Duane's is specific to '69?

Maybe someone else with more knowledge will chime in.

    Patton,
The code letters for a 1969, 55 amp 1100774 alt is "BD"
The code letters for a 1969, 37 amp 1100761 alt is "VA"

Who is going to do this stuff when I am gone?

Duane - THUMBS UP!! Thank you very much.

Don't worry - maybe V8B will add a section here called "cryo corner" where we can all be cryogenically frozen and preserved until we can be revived when the Fountain of Youth is discovered.

Thanks again - gives me a good excuse to use the rubber stamper I had made again.

    Patton,
"cryo corner" would not work for me. They would still wake me up to answer questions.:D

Yeah - That makes sense......they'd have to put you into a "semi-animated" state of suspension since you are a "SIBI" (acronym borrowed from the 2008 financial crisis that to the designation of certain financial institutions as SIFI's - Structurally Important Financial Institutions).

SIBI = Structurally Important Buick Institution

The actual term would be "GRUMPY", as in that's the way I am until I start my second cup of coffee.:p
Ask Brad, I talk to him in the mornings.

You can’t go then. You will be like one of those 98 year old guys that loves bagging groceries.
