The guy who did the rear quarters before I bought it didn’t replace the outer wheelhouses, just left them out completely! Anyone know where I could track down a set? Tried looking online to no avail. Just found 70 on up.
Find someone in the southwest willing to drill out the spot welds out of a donor coupe or four door. Did that close to a decade ago it was a tremendous amount of work. Don't believe the 68-69 outer wheelhouse is reproduced.
Will the 70 work with modification? Of course they reproduce those. Don’t know if the 69’ Chevelle ones will work either.
68-69 chevelle is significantly different from 68-69 skylark outer wheelhouse wise. The 70-72 outers are a lot closer - chevelle versus skylark but again not identical. Would guess a skilled metal guy could make one, or modify a chevelle one, if cost and time were not paramount issues.
Is what I did Arizona donor including trunk drops is the best way to go. I think a metal guy could make the Buick/Chevrlle s work but lots of time involved. That’s crazy that the outer is not there nothing supporting the quarter in the center just flapping? That will be fun to put in with the quarter there.
The flat outer lip of the outer wheel house in the “stepchild “ years is a magnet for debris catchment.
Seriously? A pair of outer wheel housings? Shipping would be to 202 East 30th ST Kearney, NE 68847 And I’d be forever in your debt!
AMD only had 70’ and up. Bought one side and was going to see if I could fab it in on my next days off.
