Hell wondering if there is any other pitman arm i can use off another model or year for 68 riviera ?
Is the 69 different?
Looks to be the same . just couldnt find anyone reproducing any
Not for a Riviera. It isn't really much of a wear item. They make the A body ones.
Its actually NOT a wear item. Unless its bent or broken, it doesnt need to be changed. The joint is on the centerlink
I was thinking eventually that the taper would get a bit egged out, that's about it.
Okay just thinking on changing whole front end a lot of play in steering
If I was you, I'd check the front end and only replace what is worn. The parts available today are not as good as used to be available.
Just replace the loose components ONLY. The junk available today will wear out long before your originals IF they have been maintained properly. Most likely you have a worn center link, idler arm or outer tie rod ends.
ALSO check the lower ball joints.
Do yourself a favor & DON'T buy any complete kits as most ALL of the components are JUNK.
AND --- If you want to replace with USA components..... I even have a pair of N.O.S. ++ MOOG ++ Lower Ball Joints++
Always best to simply call me --- Craig ---
516 - 485 - 1935 ..... New York.....
As Tom T. Mentions, ALL the offered "kits" are Chineseum garbage.....
Thankyou . I have bought every part now except inner and outer tierods
