    I have a 68 GS400 conv. with the original 2.93 one wheel.

I am looking for a posi... gears between 3.23 and 3.42.
Does anyone know where I can find one that will work for my application?
    Thanks,
    Gil

That year Buick 8.2 went from a 3.23 ( which I think might technically have been offered in 350 cars) to 3.42 with no gear sets in between.

    2.73
    2.93
    3.23
    3.42
    3.64
    3.91
    4.30
    4.78

    Gil,

It may be easier to just find a newer 8.5 10 bolt from a '72 Skylark/GS. The 8.2 cone style posi are tougher/more expensive to find parts for.

The 8.5 uses the clutch pak posi, which are easier to find and rebuild. Richmond sells a full line of gear ratios for the 8.5s as well. I bought a set of 3.23s and did this in my '69 GS and it's a direct bolt in. I just saved the old 8.2 rear in case I ever decide to part with the car. I'm doing the same with my '69 GS convertible, except that ones getting 2.56 highway gears so I can cruise between Duluth and Mpls at 80mph!
