68 bucket seats and convertible back seat

I'm changing the interior in my 68 convertible. I'm thinking since the interior that is in it now is driver quality or better , I'd try to find a set of buckets and back seat so I dont have to disassemble them and I can sell my complete black interior to someone looking.

I'm going to wait until I find buckets and a back seat before I offer mine for sale.

If you sell your original seats where are you going to find your seat buttons? The seat buttons in those seats are 68 only and are extremely hard to find. If you are going to put the same interior back in the car, then you will need to find another Black 68 interior for the buttons. If you take the seat covers off and remove the buttons, then the covers will most likely be junk, so.........................

Yes thanks I thought about that and I have the correct color seat buttons. I have some black, white and beige (buckskin?) I've been saving them for a few years!!!

 

The other thing to think about is you would also need a set of 68 seats as donors. The 69-72 seats use different frames. I think the 67 Frames are the same but the cushions are different, so again there are things to consider.

it's long shot but I thought if I can find seats that need recovered for the right price and then sell my interior, that can be used as is, then I can help someone out and i wouldn't have to take all my covers off it would be good. My back seat is newly recovered.

I m looking for what you are possibly going to sell i have a post in wanted ,i have the rear which needs covering two days ago buckets sold to clear space i do have 1968 headrest buckets with recliner pass seat they are gto red seat covers on them now . Let me know if we can work something out if deal hasnt bieng made with somebody

 

My back seat is very nice. It was recovered a couple years ago. It also has the seatbelts retainers. What kind of work does your upper seat need? Does it just need recovered?

 

Thanks but I dont want the headrests buckets. I had a set of those and didnt like the look so I sold them.
