I just picked up a GMC 671-8V71 Supercharger from E-Bay and I need a 350 or 455 intake manifold for it. Does anyone have one or know of one that was made for it??? Need help on this one. See attached pic.

Leo, from what I've researched, there isn't much in the way of intakes( or much else for that matter) for the V series blowers. A few companies market blower manifolds for Buicks, most are Offy dual quad manifolds with a plate welded to the top for the blower to mount to, but they all use the regular 6-71/8-71 type blowers.
I think Don Hampton may make a dedicated blower manifold for a Buick, but I'm not positive. Rod Henrickson, who runs an awesome blown Buick, would be able to shed more light as he probably knows more about blown Buicks than anyone.

    Good Leads!

Al, thankx for leads. I didn't think there was much available and if there was it was probably from a very limited production made many many years ago. I'll contact those gentlemen soon. Thankx again!

You could also contact B.D.S. (blower drive service) They or Hampton may be able to make the intake for you. I would recommend however, that you sell the V series blower and get a traditional 6 or 8-71.

    Problem with V-Series?

Joe, what exactly is wrong with the V-series blowers?

There is nothing wrong with a v series blower as far as function goes. however, just the simple difference in mounting and lack of intakes to do so make them less desirable. If you had an intake that fit, I would not hesitate to use it. The blowers will do the same thing, just more intakes are available for the other style. I believe both bloser styles use the same type of end plates and rotors (for 6-71/6v-71) but you should check first.

If your blower is real nice, I would contact BDS or Hampton and see if they can make you an intake that will work. Also check what other items you will need such as idler pulley and bracket, crank hub, waterpump pulley(?).

You will need all of these with either style blower.
