67 Wood Wheel install Horn Contact question

When installing the wood wheel it does not look like the brass contact will touch the horn contact. Is there a different spring thats needed? Figured I would check before I started modifying stuff. Is the cancel cam different? What am I missing?

Thanks, Yes, I did. I put a longer spring in it and it works fine.
