I'm having trouble finding a reliable source for the rear wheel cylinders. Anyone know a good source? Had experience? Amazon has listings but says "usually ships in 5-7 weeks!! $27 each free shipping". Carquest says $46 each and a week wait. Napa shows one side only. AutoZone, O'Rileys, Advance, nothing. Kanter nothing, Rock Auto says one available from off site seller so delayed shipping, other side not available at this time. GMpartsdirect.com $35 each and $22 shipping and handling. This http://www.amazon.com/ACDelco-18E62...-Cylinder/dp/B000C9J9OM/ref=pd_rhf_gw_p_img_2 is what they look like and I don't think the car ones will fit the backing plate.

    OK, blood pressure down,

wouldn't both sides use the same cylinder?
I didn't pay attention when I did the rears on my truck the other week, but Napa only lists one for that and it's a generic rear, doesn't specify L or R.

Most rear are that way, one cylinder fits both sides. Not the SportWagon, each side has it's own, similar to the front of all drum brake cars, well even disc have a different caliper on each side. Follow the link in my first post to see a correct cylinder listed on Amazon. It may be just a wagon thing, but Amazon says the 68 & 9 Skylarks, 442, and 70-1-2 Vista use these "different" cylinders, but I don't know that as factual, just what Amazon says.

I went on Napa and i wasn't able to put in sportwagon (so I used GS400 since I think they both use the heavy duty brake parts) and they don't list anything.
Then oddly enough for the skylark they list both a generic rear, and then a L and R for '67.

they do list a left and right cylinders for a '67 Olds Vista Cruiser how similar would those be?
Or if the bleeders aren't frozen (as was the case with my truck) how about a rebuild kit?

sorry if you've already thought of all these just throwing out options/ideas to help. :)

Thanks Ted, Those are the Dorman numbers and what Carquest gave me when they told me they located a pair for fourty some dollars each, shipping there might be free I'll follow up there. Rock auto also has a pair, though not listed under 67 Buick SportWagon. They were listed under 71 Vista cruiser, one closeout priced at twenty and change, the other at 40 and change, and they want about $18 shipping.
Here is the application from Amazon, they are the cheapest at $27+ and free shipping but say 5-7 WEEKS to ship.
    68&9 Skylark
68&9 442 and all Cutlass models
    64 through 72 Vista Cruiser
    And 66&7 Sport Wagons

Good thing my time is worthless 'cause I spent a lot of it on the 'puter today,
    Mike
