Trying to figure out where to start on figuring out how to get my power windows working on my 67 lark. None of them will move or even make a sound. Where should i start? Sorry im completely new to these cars and havent found much of a wiring diagram

In my 70GS, I found that I had a bad relay. Once I replaced that, my windows worked. In my 70, the power window relay was mounted up next to the parking brake release handle in a side well in the area behind the driver wheel well. Its about a 1.5” rectangle silver looking part.

Is it an oval plate you gotta take off to access?

Using a meter, u need to determine if 12 volts is actually reaching the the power window switch when window up is activated & window down. If so, then check at motor is receiving current "up" or "down.
U need to locate the replay & with a meter to see that it is functioning.

Should it have power at the switch regardless if im pushing up or down?

Stumped... looked for 2 hours this evening for that dang relay. The only one i found that looks like right is mounted on the firewall in the engine bay. Possible?

Sorry, got side tracked last night. My relay on my 70 was not behind that access panel. Not sure where it is on the previous models.

I tried to search V* site. Check out this link...It may be on the firewall up near the radio up under the dash. I can't say for certain, because I don't have the 67 model.

On my 67, there is a big relay/circuit breaker mounted high up under the dash, right below the center front window.

One thing you can do is jumper to the motor's themselves. Just remember, BOTH wires going into the motor are positive. One is positive for up, one is positive for down and the ground is the case. Apply power to both wires and you run a chance of cooking it.

If I was you, I would start at the motor and work back. Motor, switch, wiring harness into door, wiring under dash, wiring under hood.

did you fix it? i had same problem after my 67 sat 3 years.
first place to look is the fuse, then relay.
the relay on a 67 skylark is stuffed under the dash, screwed to the firewall near the defroster plumbing, just right of the gas pedal, pretty much at where the ignition switch is. it took me awhile to find mine and i knew the general location. i couldn't wait for a factory replacement so i just put a modern 40a relay in so if i have issues i can just get one at any store.
    hope this helps
