Tom hit it on the head, no doubt. These are not new cars that take X amount of time. I hope you are using some new fuel line hose there. Your exhaust will probably sound good out the back but you won't hear it nearly like your glasspacks dumping out the side only a few feet from your ears. That looks like a nice system for the X-frame and your engine will love the extra flow. You'll probably find that opening up the headers does nothing for your performance. I hope you are still thinking about some kind of extra traction tire to take advantage of all that power. I really can't get excited about a 255 60 15 DR on a 6" rim plus it will look way too short on your car. I would probably go for a set of 275 60 15's on the 6" rim. A little bit wider but taller so they won't look so out of place and the height helps fit the narrower rim, not that it is that much better of a match. I had some 275 60 15's mounted on 6'" Buick big car wheels for my RMW for a short while. They bulged out pretty good but was acceptable. The tire contact patch will be lessened with a narrow rim but they should work better than any normal street tire you run. The only way I'd run those tires on 6" rims is if they were used and didn't cost a bundle. Whatever tire you have/get consider the following. You won't get them used for any less. Pick up some cheap wheels from Summit (or elsewhere) 15 x 8 with the correct backspacing.(Your correct back spacing would be measure what you have now and add 1". That and doubling the width would put the new wheel just about exactly in the wheel well where it is now.) Summit has tons of them. If you're only going to run them at the drags who cares what it looks like? Better good traction then spinning tires. My first set of racing tires were $50 for some 29"(Way too tall with 3.08's) old school M&H pie cut slicks mounted on steel wheels out of the local paper's classifieds. Whole passenger side is installed minus tailpipe. The length of the over axle pipe requires cutting, I will shave 4” off and then reinstall the tailpipe at the end of the process, because the pipe is WAY too close to the ground Pics coming soon Edit: this whole thing was wrong because I mocked it up poorly. No cutting needed
So I lied, this is not the case because I didn’t tuck the system up into the frame. Doing that with the midpipes fixed it
I was wondering because the TA kit comes with everything and extra. Any adjust ment would be done at the mufflers.
